The Employer may not pay you for the first four to five weeks depending on your start date and the month end.

They may not pay the first month as four weeks.

JSA stops immediately – there often isnt a run on if you have been out of work a long time.

The Housing Benefit and Council Tax run-on is suspended.

The HB at the Council need all of your info – say three or four visits to make sure all change of circumstances, pay details, any other info and then of course the inevitable Mge Arrears or Rent Arrears letters. Take these for an urgent review.

Borrowing is problematic and can invoke dreadful interest – be wary.

The Citizens Advice may be a good place to visit.
